Summary

Every engineering team asks the same question: what's actually running right now, and can I trust it got there safely?

I joined CodeCatalyst before that question had a good answer, and kept finding the same root problem across four different features: customers didn't lack tools, they lacked an accurate mental model of what was happening underneath.

Whether it was collapsing "environments" and "deployments" into one view, translating Kubernetes into something a non-expert could reason about, or reframing release tracking around commits instead of runs, the job was building trust in a system people couldn't fully see. That thinking shipped an enterprise-tier feature at re:Invent 2023.
